A Journey Back to Feeling Good: From Exhausted to Empowered

I remember waking up one morning, feeling absolutely drained.
Not just tired, but worn out, like I was running on fumes. The kind of exhaustion that goes deep—physically, mentally, emotionally.
I stared at myself in the mirror, trying to figure out when I had started to feel so run down. My skin looked dull, my energy was at rock
bottom, and honestly, I just felt off.

Something had to give.
That morning, as I dragged myself through my routine, I noticed something for the first time. It was small, but it hit me like a ton of bricks:
the labels on my bathroom shelf. I hadn’t thought much about them before—who does, right? But this time, I paused, and really looked at
them. So many ingredients I couldn't pronounce, so many artificial fragrances and chemicals that sounded more like a lab experiment than
something I should be putting on my skin.
The research begins
Curiosity turned into concern. What were these chemicals doing to my body? To my health?
I started doing a little research, and as I went
deeper, concern quickly morphed into fear. There were studies about toxic VOCs 1 (volatile organic compounds) in perfumes, lotions, even
cleaning products—things I was using every single day, multiple times a day.
There are so many studies that show repeated exposure to synthetic fragrance chemicals can lead to a bunch of issues ranging from
neurological symptoms like headaches, depression and migraines to hormone related conditions such as breast cancer, polycystic ovary
syndrome, gynecomastia, liver and thyroid toxicity, reproductive problems, skin dermatitis and breathing difficulties like asthma 2 .
And not just for me!

In a study of 42 fragranced baby products, over six hundred emitted VOCs were detected, of which approximately one-third are potentially
hazardous. 3 Even early onset puberty is now being linked to artificially created musks which are prevalent in many personal care products
used by both adults and children.1.
My kids were being affected too, without me even realising or thinking about it.
The Realisation
Suddenly, it all made sense. No wonder I felt so off. My body was constantly bombarded with artificial junk.
I had recently been struggling with facial dermatitis after switching to a new skincare brand – one of the biggest in the market! It now
made sense.
My makeup, my skincare products, my bodywash, my cleaning products, hair products, body moisturisers, nail polish, perfumes. I looked
at every single label, one-by-one and saw the same things over and over – “fragrance”, "Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Formaldehyde, Triclosan, Petrolatum, PEG-100 (among others), henoxyethanol.
Even products that said “Natural” on the label were filled with ‘mineral oil’ (a derivative of petroleum), silicon, and tocopherol (sometimes
listed as vitamin E but not the same thing).
That fear soon turned into something else—anger.
How is this right? Why wasn’t anyone talking about the impact of these chemicals? Why are companies allowed to put toxic ingredients
into things they know people are going to use and that will go into our waterways! And, why did I have to dig to find out the truth about
what I was putting on and in my body? Why are companies allowed to list things like "fragrance mixtures" to avoid listing the real
ingredients under the protection of 'trade secrets' and protected by law 4 .
And it wasn’t just at home. When I went out and shops had fragrances diffusing, or hotels pumped scents into the hallways and spa areas,
I was getting headaches and irritation. Why is it ok for them to force these artificial chemicals into everyone else’s environment as well!
Everything Happens for a Reason…
And then, something clicked.
Instead of being overwhelmed or angry, I got focused. I became determined to take control of my health, starting with what I could
control—what I allowed into my home and onto my skin.
I spent hours educating myself, reading labels, and learning about natural alternatives. I discovered that it was possible to live a life
without drowning in artificial chemicals and still enjoy beautiful scents and luxurious products. In fact, there was an entire world of
handcrafted, organic, and natural options just waiting for me to explore and learn.
I began to replace the products in my life with pure,
plant-based alternatives.
Slowly but surely, I started to feel better. My energy returned, my skin began to glow, and emotionally, I felt lighter, more in control. I was
reconnecting with myself—and nature—in a way that felt empowering.
And the best part?
These beautifully crafted natural products weren’t hidden away in some exclusive shop—they were everywhere, readily available and
affordable. All it took was making the switch, ignoring mass marketing and advertising and honestly, I’ve never looked back.
Today, I’m mindful of everything I use—because I’ve learned that what goes on your body is just as important as what goes into it.

I confidently say this to anyone - once you start cleaning up your life, once you feel the difference, you won’t want to go back. I’m proof
that it’s possible to feel amazing again—naturally. You just have to make the choice!
The Journey to today
I became so passionate that I went on and studied and qualified as an Aromatherapist and formulator. Using essential oils and other
carefully selected ingredients I started creating my own naturally scented products that not only smelled incredible but also gave my body
the best chance to rebalance and heal itself.
And I wanted to share this knowledge and passion with as many people as possible to try and make this journey easier and faster. So I
started my business, supporting and helping people make the switch with carefully crafted, bespoke remedies that seamlessly incorporate
into their everyday.
I also support businesses who want to give their clients a nice experience with carefully crafted, natural scents that won’t poison their
customers every time they breathe in!
I only use sustainably sourced, high quality, natural, artificial chemical-free ingredients in everything I create. I make small batches to
ensure I minimise waste, and I ensure that everything I make is packaged in recycled or recyclable materials as minimally as possible.
I feel like I’m contributing something important to my own health and wellbeing, but also that of everyone I support, and ultimately to our
unique and amazing planet.
It makes me so happy to know that I am making a difference – but all of us still have a long way to go!
Please join me on this mission and together we can all take-back control over the health and wellbeing of ourselves, our kids and our
planet ♥
